Introducing Elder C. Max and Joann Caldwell
Picture Not Available Brother Caldwell received his B.S. degree from the University of Utah in Business Administration. Following graduation, he served as a military pilot in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Korea and various military bases in the U.S. He received his M.A. degree from the Brigham Young University in Church History and Doctrine. He taught seminary at South and Highland High Schools in Salt Lake City, was an instructor at the L.D.S. Institute at Utah State University in Logan, and, prior to his retirement, was an Associate Professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. He is a co-author of a two-volume work on the Doctrine and Covenants entitled Sacred Truths of the Doctrine and Covenants, a two-volume work on the Book of Mormon entitled Sacred Truths of the Book of Mormon, and two student study guides for the Book of Mormon. He has written articles for the Ensign, Children`s Friend, and Church News as well as portions of courses of study for the Church curriculum department. He is a contributing author in several books and publications as well. []His church experience includes a mission to the North Central States, service as a Bishop, Stake High Councilor, Branch President at the Missionary Training Center, Counselor in three Stake Presidencies, member of the General Board of the Church Adult Correlation Review Committee, Mission President of the Great Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission, and Regional Representative of the Twelve. He was called to serve as a General Authority and ordained a seventy in the Second Quorum of the Seventy. In this capacity he served in Area Presidencies in Europe, Philippines-Micronesia and North America West Areas of the Church. He is currently serving as a sealer in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.
